Earthquake

In room 20 today we read a book on earthquake and then had to describe what words describe a earthquake.

                                                To do Tessellation you cant over lap,

                                                can't have gaps but you have to repeat

                                                 your pattern.

                                                 I used a hexagon but you can use a

                                                 shape that can join in every way.                      

Swimming

Splash!!! I bombed into everywhere. I was at swimming lessons and my coach came over to me and said that I was to swim in the lane pool today just to see how I go. I was scared because last time I went in that pool I couldn't touch the bottom but that was a long time ago. I started to wonder if I had grown heaps and I could touch the bottom. I walked towards the pool and I started to feel more scared.

While I was climbing down the ladder I felt excited and scared at the same time. As I got deeper into the pool it was only up to my hips so I started climbing down faster. When I got to the bottom I was only excited because now I could touch the bottom.

"Start by doing 2 laps of free style and then we can play some games.” So I started swimming. Once I had finished my first lap I felt so tired but I said to myself "I can do this, I know I can.” So I started swimming again. I had finished my last lap and then we started playing games then once the clock turned 5:00 I got out and went and got dressed. 

Then my coach came over to me and said "well done Hannah, you did such good swimming that now you can move up to the higher class and now you will be swimming at 6:00 to 7:00." I felt so excited that I ran to mum and told her that I was moving up and she said "well done, I think you deserve a lolly when we get home!"

Summer

Remember that time when we were running around on the beautiful hot green grass.That was summer.

Remember running on the hot concrete with your feet burning.That was summer.

Have you ever got your foot stuck while climbing a tree that you have been trying to climb for ages? That was summer.

Remember that time when you were on the way to the beach and there was dust coming from every where you could see.That was summer.

You know all those mozzies that bit you when you were camping. That was summer.

You know when you are trying to sun bathe and all you can hear is cicadas,flies and the wind.That was summer.

Remember when you were so hot and you were not allowed to go for a swim so you sat under the air-con.That was summer.

Remember when you were playing on the play ground and you got heaps of mozzie bites and you were so itchy.That was summer.
Remember that time when you were walking down to the dairy to get a chocolate ice-cream
and it melted the whole way home.That was summer.
Remember sliding down the sand dunes getting sand all in your togs and getting sizzled by the scorching hot sun then going home with the car seat rubbing on your sun burn.That was summer.
Remember going camping and the day you get there the weather is awesome but all the other days are bad weather and you are laying on the couch saying "I’m bored, can I go out side.”
That was summer.

My Maths Rocket
